Dolphins superstar makes his opinion crystal clear on Miami's most pressing offseason question
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

It's a question that certainly has divided a large portion of the Miami Dolphins.  Should the Dolphins pay top dollar to extend their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a long-term deal?

One particular Dolphin seems to think it's time for the team to step up and get a deal done with its quarterback.  Jalen Ramsey posted on his Instagram story a photo of him playing golf with Tagovailoa, and the scorecard has the words "Pay Tua!" written on it.

Oh, to have been a fly on the wall (or the ceiling of the golf cart) to be able to listen in on that four-ish hour cart ride as two of the Dolphins' biggest names traversed the golf links.  Ramsey knows a thing or two about nine-figure contract extensions, having signed a five-year, $100 million deal with the Rams before ultimately being traded to Miami.

News of Tagovailoa's offseason extension will be something Dolphins fans anxiously await during the offseason.  Of course, as with any player, the length and intensity of negotiations depend on how much a player views himself as being worth.  If Tua's camp sees himself as a market-setting player, then the process could end up being a lengthy one.

The numbers don't really back up Tua becoming a market-setter, but the Dolphins could end up deciding that he runs Mike McDaniel's offense better than anyone they could eventually bring in and decide to pay him.

It appears that at least one prominent Dolphin thinks that's what the team should do.
